Tenant Information

The following details the step by step process involved in finding your rental home through our office.

1. Research properties for rent

View our available properties via our website garrynash.com.au or by visiting our office and picking up a rental guide.

2. Expression of interest form

Prior to inspecting any properties, you will need to comple a short Expression of Interest Form.  This form is available from our office or by clicking on the link below:

Expression of Interest Form

3. Tenancy Database check

Once your Expression of Interest Form has been received, we will complete a Tenancy Database Check (TICA) on all named applicants.  If the TICA check is not satisfactory, you will be contacted and advised that you are unable to rent through our agency.

4. Inspection

If the TICA check is satisfactory, one of our Portfolio Managers will contact you to arrange a suitable time to inspect the property(ies) you have listed on your Expression of Interest Form, or may suggest suitable properties to inspect which match your requirements.

5. Application

Once you have inspected a property that you wish to apply for, you will need to complete a full application form.  Application forms are available from our office or by clicking on the link below:

6. Landlord's decision

Once we have processed your application, we will then be in contact with the landlord of the property for a final decision.  We endeavour to have a final decision within 48 hours of your inspection of the property.

7. SMS/Phone contact

Should you be successful in your application, we will contact you to discuss the next steps including the signing of the lease, paying of bond and rent and picking up the keys to your new home.  If you are unsuccessful in the application process, an SMS will be sent to you advising you of the outcome.

If at any time you require additional information or would like to provide information that may affect your application, please contact the Residential Property Management department on 03 5722 2663 or rentals@garrynash.com.au

Before deciding to rent a property there are a few legal requirements that you need to take into consideration.  A Residential Tenancy Agreement or 'lease' will be drawn up and is the legal contract that both you and your landlord must abide by.  A lease should include such information such as:
